Chemical Industry Classification Knowledge

Chemical Industry, Chemical Engineering, and Chemical Technology are collectively referred to as “Chemical Engineering” (or “Chemical Industry” in a broad sense). The chemical industry encompasses petrochemicals, agricultural chemicals, pharmaceutical chemistry, polymers, coatings, fats and oils, among others. These fields emerged at different historical periods, each carrying distinct meanings; yet they are closely interrelated, mutually permeating, and exhibit continuity. Moreover, they have been endowed with evolving connotations throughout their development.
